| Witchblade Loosely adapted from the American comic book series, Witchblade takes a step in the world of anime with this new series. In this new version, Masane Amaha is a woman who lost her memory during a catastrophic earthquake that devastated Tokyo. She was found holding a baby in the middle of Ground Zero. Six years pass, while living a life on the run with her daughter Rihoko, she discovers that she has inherited the powers of the Witchblade, a powerful ancient weapon passed down only to women throught history. From then on, she gets caught in the middle of a struggle between Doji Industries (who keeps watch over Masane and her abilities as Witchblade) and the NSWF, a government faction that wants to take Masane's daughter. They also seek to exploit and copy the abilities of the Witchblade for themselves with their own project known as the "Cloneblades." However, in all of this Masane wants nothing more than to care for her daughter in peace. Though in her battles as the latest bearer of the Witchblade, she fights for her sake only. As she struggles to build a life for her, she finds many obstacles and difficult decisions in the process.... |
